Roof damage and failed repair documentation
The Roof Certainty System™

Know What Your Roof Actually Needs Before You Spend A Dollar.

Most homeowners do not need pressure. They need clarity. We inspect, document, attempt responsible repairs when possible, and only recommend replacement when the roof condition justifies it.

✔ Replacement When Necessary
✔ No Pressure Guidance
Our Process

The Roof Certainty System™

We built our inspection process around one simple belief: homeowners should understand the condition of the roof before making a major decision.

That means we do not start with pressure. We start with inspection, documentation, explanation, and clear next steps.

Learn The System
1. Inspect We evaluate storm indicators, roof age, vulnerable areas, active leaks, prior repairs, and repairability.
2. Document We use photos and videos so homeowners, agents, and referral partners can understand what is actually happening.
3. Explain We explain whether the condition points toward maintenance, repair, claim documentation, monitoring, or replacement.
4. Guide We help determine the responsible next step without forcing every roof into the same answer.
The Origin Story

From Client To Co Founder. Built Around Trust.

Odd Couple Roofing was built from real relationships, real inspections, and a belief that homeowners deserve clarity before pressure.

Terry’s Story: From Client To Co Founder This is the story behind the relationship, the trust, and why our company is built around education, documentation, and doing right by the homeowner.
Why We Started

We Believe Roofing Should Feel Clear, Not Confusing.

Most homeowners only deal with a roof a few times in their life. That creates uncertainty, especially when leaks, storm damage, insurance, or major costs are involved.

Our goal is to slow the process down, document the facts, explain what we see, and help the homeowner make the right decision with confidence.

Real Roof Inspection

What A Real Roof Inspection Looks Like.

A proper inspection is not just a quick look from the ground. We look for vulnerable areas, active issues, prior repairs, storm indicators, and whether the roof is repairable.

Christopher Shows What We Look For We inspect the roof system, vulnerable roof penetrations, repairability, storm indicators, and maintenance concerns before making a recommendation.
Inspection Before Opinion

The Roof Tells A Story If You Know What To Look For.

Pipe boots, exposed fasteners, rusted vents, flashing details, brittle shingles, prior repairs, soft metals, and storm indicators all matter.

That is why we document the roof first. The right recommendation should come from the condition of the roof, not from pressure or guesswork.

The Hidden Problem

Roofing Claims Live In The Gray Area.

Terry explains why we do not do fluff. When insurance policies, homeowners, and referral partners are involved, the facts matter.

The Gray Area: Facts Before Claims We are not here to file every claim. We document the damage, determine whether a claim is the responsible solution, and help protect the homeowner and referral relationship.
Insurance & Referral Partners

We Are Not Just Filing Roof Claims.

Before a claim is filed, we want to know whether the roof condition truly supports that decision. Sometimes documentation supports a claim. Sometimes a repair or maintenance plan is the better solution.

When policies and trust are on the line, guessing is not good enough.

Repair First Philosophy

We Attempt The Responsible Repair Before Recommending Full Replacement.

One of the biggest homeowner fears is being sold a full roof when a repair could have solved the problem. Our process is built to evaluate repairability first.

Damaged three tab shingles and failed prior repair

Failed Prior Repairs

Some repairs buy time. Others reveal that the roof system is no longer responding responsibly to repair attempts.

Close up roof repair failure

Repairability Matters

We look at surrounding shingles, seal strips, brittleness, prior work, and whether the repair creates additional damage.

Damaged roof shingles requiring documentation

Replacement Is Not The First Assumption

Replacement becomes the recommendation only when the roof condition and documentation support that decision.

Comparison Story

Sometimes A Repair Solves The Problem. Sometimes It Reveals The Bigger Issue.

This is the middle ground most homeowners never see explained clearly. The right answer depends on the roof condition, not pressure.

This Is Where Documentation Protects The Homeowner.

A roof can look like a simple repair from the ground, but the real answer depends on how the roof responds during inspection and repair.

Roof Tune Up & Maintenance

Not Every Roof Needs Replacement. Some Roofs Need Maintenance.

A roof tune up can address vulnerable points before they become active leaks, interior damage, or emergency repairs.

Christopher Explains A Roof Tune Up Pipe boots, exposed fasteners, rusted vents, sealant failure, and vulnerable roof penetrations can often be addressed before replacement is necessary.
Maintenance Before Crisis

Small Roof Issues Become Expensive When They Are Ignored.

Pipe boots dry rot. Fasteners back out. Metal vents rust. Sealant fails. Valleys collect debris. These are not always replacement problems, but they are roof integrity problems.

Our tune up process is designed to extend useful roof life when the roof is still a good candidate for maintenance.

When Replacement Is The Right Answer

When The Damage Is Real, The Documentation Matters.

There are situations where a roof replacement is the responsible recommendation. The key is being able to show why.

We Do Not Guess. We Document.

If the roof condition supports replacement, the photos, test squares, repairability, and full roof context should make the recommendation clear.

Common Questions

Before You Book An Inspection.

These are the questions homeowners usually ask before deciding whether to schedule a roof inspection.

Do I need a full roof replacement?
Not always. Some roofs need maintenance, pipe boot replacement, exposed fastener sealing, flashing repairs, or targeted shingle repairs. We only recommend replacement when the roof condition supports that decision.
Do you automatically recommend filing an insurance claim?
No. We inspect and document first. If the damage appears consistent with a covered storm event and the roof condition supports a claim discussion, we explain that. If repair or maintenance is the better path, we explain that too.
What happens during a roof inspection?
We look at roof age, shingles, flashing, pipe boots, vents, valleys, exposed fasteners, prior repairs, storm indicators, soft metals, leak concerns, and overall repairability.
What if I only need a repair?
That is perfectly fine. We believe repairs are the right answer when they are responsible, durable, and make financial sense. Not every roof needs to be replaced.
Can you help with storm damage documentation?
Yes. We document hail damage, wind damage, collateral damage to soft metals, test squares, roof slopes, prior repairs, and roof condition so the facts are clear before next steps are discussed.
